Shingle Dimensions
Length 405mm (16")
Width (All Random) – 75 to 325mm (3 to 13")
Thickness - 10mm at the bottom tapering to 2mm at the top (3/8" to 1/32")

Grades 1- Shingles are 100% Heartwood with no visible blemishes. These are most suitable for cone shaped circular or elliptical gazebo roofs.
Grade 4 - Shingles have imperfections over the whole shingle. These are the cheapest and quickest option to create a roof cover.
31mm Stainless Steel Annular nails are recommended to fit the shingles
40mm Stainless Steel Annular nails are recommended to fit the Ridge tiles
Application
Use a double thickness on the base layer making sure the gaps between the tiles on the first layer are covered by the centres of the tiles on the second layer.
Leave 5mm (1/4") gaps between shingles on a flat roof with 15 mm (1/2") gaps on a conical roof.
Each layer overlaps the layer below by 300mm (12") and the centre of each tile should cover the space between the tiles on the layer below.
For the top two courses cut 150mm from the top of a shingle and use this for the penultimate row. Use the offcut for the top course. Then finish with a ridge tile or the top finial from your circular roof.
Use ridge tiles for the ridge and gables.
