Freshly cut rustic round pole, with the bark removed by hand. These poles are organic in shape, with a gnarly texture. They are usually soft wood or hawthorn. Ideal as structure for recreating ancient vernacular structures or buildings.
They are not seasoned or treated in any way. If they are part of a longer lasting structure, they will provide a good home for nature (bugs and grubs) but will rot away in a couple of years. These poles can be treated with wood preserver to extend their lifespan.
How our poles are measured -
Small - 2 ½" – 3 ½" diameter - 3.6m long - £39
Medium - 3 ½" – 4 ½" diameter - 3.6m long - £46
Large - 4 ½" – 6 ½" diameter - 3.6m long - £65
The diameter is very approximate as these are naturally grown trees, not from a monoculture plantation.
We hold a large stock and larger quantities will be cut to order. Bark finish & colour may differ from image.
The given diameter is usually the bottom of the pole and is approximate. The pole will taper along its length, so the diameter at the top will be smaller. If you wish for a uniform diameter we suggest using our machine round poles.
Different lengths, diameters, and specific species/ bark finishes are available. Please call for further details.
